Dispatch 5: Gets you solar max tees right here!

Dispatch 5 - We have just posted up for sale a couple new t-shirt designs at our bigcartel store page called HANDPRINTED! These two designs are for our new record the we will be coming out in the spring called Soundtrack Event I: Uranian Fire.

Along with making music, we have been screen printing as MCLscreenworks since about 1999 when we started in our apt in SF. Then we were fortunate enough to have a loft studio space in the SOMA district for a while where we really honed our craft. It's always been a passion of ours to create visual art that accents our music. Since starting, we have felt it to be a natural extension of our artistic vision. Come by and take a look sometime at www.mclscreenworks.com

Dispatch 3: SOLAR MAX Collaboration Series

Dispatch III : We are really excited to get our Collaborations Series of tracks with some of our friends and fellow artists off the ground.
We have wanted to do this for a long while and finally we have our first offering. We sent a song down to lofi nofi experimentalist David Spero, aka DS Peligro in LA. We met on soundcloud, found his sonic art to be really really cool and offered up a track and he agreed. The above track is the result. UFOs Are Real! The first in many. Hope you dig, we sure do!

Dispatch 2: SOLAR MAX Videos (for immediate viewing!)

Dispatch 2 - Come by and check out our Youtube channel where you can find our videos like the one for Event XI Moment I (left) and Event IV Moment II - Inner Minute as well as a whole lot of other videos of other projects we have been involved with over the yrs. Cool fun stuff.

Dispatch 1: We are SOLAR MAXIMUM!

Dispatch I - Hey there world, welcome to us! We are SOLAR MAXIMUM. We are also known individually as Sammy Chong Salazar and Heather S Salazar and collectively as the Salazars. This is the new "official" web presence for the new band. We will be posting updates and other SOLAR MAX related things. Check back here often.
SOLAR MAXIMUM is our latest musical venture. Two basses. Slow whole notes that seem to float on a liquid of ambient psychedelia! Heavy bass grooves dancing in an aural sky. Ambience with balls!
Some of you might know us from such musical adventures as LEATHER PILLS and/or closetLames, we've been at this a long time. "This seems a natural progression along the arc of expression for me.
I have come to a different understanding of my playing and want to explore the concept of improv more thru less."-Sammy
